NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - On June 20, 2018, the District will hold a public hearing on the "Collecion of Rate and Charges". The hearing will take place at 7pm at the regular meeting place of the Board, Stevens Creek Office Center, 20863 Stevens Creek Boulevard, Suite 100, Cupertino, California. District has elected to have certain rates and charges for services and facilities furnished by it which have become delinquent and the rates and charges for services and facilities furnished by the District for the fiscal year 2018-19 collected on the tax roll of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, pursuant to Sections 5470 through 5473.11 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California.
SEWER SERVICE RATE INCREASE FOR FY 2018-19 - On April 4, 2018, the Cupertino Sanitary District Board conducted a public hearing on proposed 8% increase to the Sewer Service and Use Charges. There were no comments from the public at the hearing.
The Board approved Ordinance No. 122, Amending Sections of the Operations Code Relating to Sewer Service Charges. The new rates will take effect on July 1st, 2018. To see the list of approved rates for FY 2018-19, click here.
While the District has made every effort to control and lower its operating and maintenance costs, the City of San Jose sewage treatment costs continue to rise due to San Jose/Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant funding needs.
